Thunder-like sounds that may have been heard by residents in some areas of Qatar were caused by drills carried out by the Qatari Amiri Air Force, the Ministry of Defence clarified on Tuesday.
The clarification came on the ministry's official Twitter handle in response to reports that certain residents in Al Wakra, Al Wukair, and other locations in the country's south had heard the sound.
