The Qatar Aid convoys embarked on their journey from Doha to Jordan, marking a crucial step towards delivering much-needed assistance to northern Gaza. The initiative comes in partnership with Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) and Qatar Charity (QC), in collaboration with Gulf Warehousing Company (GWC) at the Logistics Village.

This aid is part of Qatar’s ‘Land Bridge’ initiative, aimed at alleviating the suffering of those affected in Gaza and addressing the urgent needs of families grappling with the severe humanitarian crisis.

The first batch of aid comprised 10 trucks carrying tents and essential shelter supplies, as part of a larger initiative targeting a total of 80 trucks, through the support of QFFD. This batch of aid aims to extend vital assistance to the most vulnerable groups in Gaza, with additional Qatar Aid convoys expected to follow in the coming period. On this occasion, Yousuf bin Ahmed Al-Kuwari, CEO of Qatar Charity, reaffirmed the organisation’s unwavering commitment to supporting the people of Gaza since the onset of the crisis. The aid is provided in collaboration with the QFFD and will be distributed under the supervision of QC teams, in coordination with local and international partners, including UNRWA, to ensure it reaches the most vulnerable groups and achieves the desired humanitarian impact.

He emphasised that the Qatari Land Bridge is the least duty towards the people of Gaza, given the dire circumstances they are facing. He reaffirmed QC’s unwavering commitment to continuing humanitarian efforts aimed at alleviating their suffering and improving their living conditions.
