DOHA: The Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Qatar Charity to enhance cooperation in the field of social protection, in the presence of Minister of Social Development and Family and Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities HE Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Qatar Charity Sheikh Hamad bin Nasser bin Jassim Al Thani.
The MoU was signed by Assistant Undersecretary for Social Development Affairs at the MSDF Fahd bin Mohammed Al Khayarin and CEO of Qatar Charity Yousef bin Ahmed Al Kuwari.
Yousef bin Ahmed Al Kuwari said that the MoU falls within the framework of keenness to cooperate and coordinate with parties of common interest from ministries and institutions. He voiced his hope that the MoU will contribute to achieving the greatest possible impact in the field of supporting social protection efforts and related matters at the national level.
The MoU aims to enhance cooperation in providing social assistance to all target groups
The signing of the MoU comes from the main role of the MSDF, which is to implement policies related to family care and social welfare in the State of Qatar in accordance with Qatar National Vision 2030 and to emphasize the importance of achieving the national strategic development goals in the social protection sector in the country in an effort to support citizens from the targeted groups, such as beneficiaries of social security, persons with disabilities, productive families, and groups most in need of care.
