Strong winds, drop in temperatures expected from Thursday  

DOHA: The country is expected to be affected by fresh to strong northwesterly winds starting Thursday and continuing through the weekend.

Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD), in a social media post, said due to the influence of the winds, temperatures will drop and cause an increased feeling of cold.

Marine warnings will remain in effect during this period, it added.

QMD advised people to be cautious, avoid marine activities during the warning period, and follow the latest weather updates from official sources.
