His Highness the Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and HM Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of the Sultanate of Oman held a fraternal meeting at the Al Baraka Palace in Muscat.During the meeting, they exchanged cordial talks and discussed a number of topics of common interest.
They also discussed aspects of historical relations that bind the two fraternal countries. In this regard, HH the Amir and HM the Sultan emphasized their mutual keenness to develop the relations lookingforward to pushing them ahead in a way that enhances prosperity, and development for the two brotherly peoples.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs HE Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, President of the Qatar Olympic Committee HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, Chief of the Amiri Diwan HE Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi, Minister of Finance HE Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, Minister of Culture HE Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Thani, Minister of Sports and Youth HE Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Minister of Commerce and Industry HE Sheikh Faisal bin Thani Al Thani, Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs HE Dr Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Khulaifi, along with members of the official delegation accompanying HH the Amir.
On the Omani side, the meeting was attended by HH Deputy Prime Minister for Defense Affairs Sayyid Shihab bin Tariq Al Said, HH Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, HH Sayyid Bilarab bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of the Diwan of the Royal Court HE Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Royal Office HE General Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nomani, Minister of Interior HE Sayyid Hamood bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Albusaidi, and Minister of Finance HE Sayyid Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi.
HH the Amir also attended the luncheon banquet held by HM the Sultan of Oman in honour of His Highness and the accompanying delegation.
