DPAMoscowPro-Kremlin politicians, celebrities and family members paid tribute on Tuesday to murdered journalist Darya Dugina, a strident supporter of the war in Ukraine and daughter of a prominent ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin.“She died for Russia,” her father, ultra-nationalist ideologue Alexander Dugin said at a memorial ceremony at the Ostankino Television Centre in Moscow.“In her childhood, almost the first words we taught her were, of course, ‘Russia,’ ‘our state,’ ‘our people,’ ‘our empire.’” Leonid Sluzk, deputy leader of the Duma and a foreign policy expert, declared: “We have the right to different positions, but in essence we should be united as never before in our common modern history: one country! One president! One victory!” The 29-year-old journalist and political activist died at the weekend in a car bombing that Moscow blames on Ukraine. Kiev denies any involvement.
