DOHA: Qatar Charity has dispatched an 85-truck aid convoy to the most in-need areas in northern Syria.

The large-scale assistance, valued at QR12 million, is part of the QC's Winter and Reviving Hope campaigns.

Departing from Turkiye's Gaziantep, the convoy carries essential relief materials to provide food, heating, and urgent winter needs for tens of thousands of people enduring harsh humanitarian conditions.

The convoy includes 500 tons of flour for bread production, 25,000 food baskets, and basic supplies to ensure food security for affected families. It also contains 700 non-food baskets, 2,400 winter clothing kits to help children cope with the extreme cold, and 2,000 tons of coal for heating. Additionally, there are 456 stoves to provide warmth in camps and needy homes.

QC's Director of Donor Relations Khalid Al Yafai said: "This convoy is part of Qatar Charity’s continuous commitment to providing urgent humanitarian aid. It reflects our support for the affected people in both Syria and Turkiye, helping them face the severe winter conditions and difficult living circumstances.

"We continue our work to meet the basic needs of the affected families, and we encourage philanthropists to support these efforts to ensure aid reaches as many people as possible."

This convoy is part of QC's humanitarian efforts that have been ongoing for more than 13 years, benefiting millions of displaced Syrians both inside Syria and in neighbouring countries.
