Tribune News NetworkDohaThe Indian Sports Center (ISC), in association with Athlen Sports Events Qatar and Gulf Badminton Academy, will host a ‘Talent Hunt’ at Al Arabi Stadium Indoor Hall on September 3 from 8am.The talent search-cum-selection trials will be overseen by ‘IOC Coach of the Year’ winner Pullela Gopichand and his team. Players who excel in the selection trials and catch the eye of the selectors will get scholarships to train at Athlen Sports Badminton Academy in Qatar and Gopichand Badminton Academy in Hyderabad, India.Gopichand, a former All England winner, is mentor to some of the top players from India who are currently training at the Pullela Gopichand Badminton Academy, which was founded by him in 2008 with an aim to produce future badminton champions.Children belonging to members of the ISC will get a special discount on the enrollment fee at the academy.
