Tribune News NetworkDohaThe Community College of Qatar has announced the closing of registration of foundation level new students for the second start. The classes will commence on September 18, while the admission will remain open for those wishing to join the college level throughout the year subject to fulfilment of admission requirements. As CCQ pays great attention to the human development factor, so every student who joins the College becomes part of the community of excellence, innovation and responsibility.In this regard, Maryam Abdullah Al-Ryami, Admission and Registration Department Manager at the Community College of Qatar, stressed the college administration’s keenness to facilitate the admission process for new students from high school graduates, transfer students from other universities, cross registration students, visiting students, or students wishing to obtain a second university degree in a different specialisation subject to fulfilment of admission requirements.Al-Ryami revealed that more than 300 students in term 2- ELC foundation have been registered, which indicates the importance of the academic programmes and specialisations offered by the college, thus meeting the needs of the evolving Qatari labour market.Al-Riyami pointed out that the demand for the academic programmes and specialisations offered by the college is increasing in demand every year, due to the importance of these specialisations and the evolving needs of the local business environment, especially since the college offers a variety of educational opportunities, including associate’s and bachelor’s degrees in both Arabic and English. Furthermore, as the primary focus of the College is academic excellence, it introduced hybrid learning and developed the flexible learning model through which CQQ aims to reach larger segments of Qatari society by tackling the challenges that come with their personal and professional duties, as well as provide them with the much-needed flexibility to pursue their academic aspirations. At the same time, CCQ maintains its long-standing record of providing stellar quality education and academic results.Al-Riyami added: "the Public Administration Programmes are among the most attractive programmes for male and female students; it offers associate and bachelor degrees. This in addition to the Bachelor’s Programme in Cyber and Network Security, as well as the hybrid courses which witness a high increase in demand due to the flexibility that helps students manage their time in a way that does not conflict with their responsibilities.The number of applicants in the Associate of Business Administration reached 205 students in both modes of delivery (classroom and hybrid learning), while the number of applicants in the Associate of Arts reached 396 students, the number of applicants in the Bachelor of Human Resource Management reached 60 students, and it reached 65 students in the Bachelor of Project Management, noting that the college opens admission for a specific number of applicants in each academic year (distributed equally between male and female students).It is worth noting that admission is still open for Qataris or those born to Qatari mothers who wish to continue their studies and obtain associate’s and bachelor’s degrees in the academic programmes offered by the College, throughout the year upon opening the registration, provided that applicants are holders of Qatari high school certificates or its equivalents.
