Sponsor Metabo had a superb start to the 25th Gulf Incon-Metabo Ramadan Cricket Tournament 2019 as they crushed Opera 11 Brothers by 95 runs at the Old Ideal Indian School’s floodlit ground.
Sajjad Ahmed Khan, Senior Manager, Sales & Marketing of Gulf Incon, inaugurated the tournament in presence of Qatar Veterans Cricket officials, players and match officials. Every night two matches are scheduled with the first one beginning at 9 pm.
After captain Shabbir elected to bat first, Metabo launched an onslaught on the rival attack and collected 33 runs for one in three powerplay overs. With Melvin, Niyamat and Osama scoring quickfire innings runs, they tallied 82 for one in six overs.
Metabo eventually finished with a demanding 152 for seven in their allotted 12 overs. Osama and Niyamat scored 24 each and Melvin and Umar contributed with 23 runs each. For Opera 11 Brothers, Aswar and Sumeda shared four wickets.

For his all-round performance, Osama of Metabo was declared the man of the match.
