Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti is confident Kylian Mbappe could be involved in Wednesday’s Copa del Rey semi-final with Real Sociedad.
Mbappe, who has scored 13 goals in his last 12 games for Madrid, missed training on Tuesday with a tooth problem, but Ancelotti confirmed he would travel with the group.
“Mbappe is travelling tomorrow,” the Italian told a press conference.
“He had a problem with a tooth and couldn’t train. He’s travelling tomorrow and can play. Everyone who travels has a chance of playing the game, like Endrick.”
Madrid are into the last 16 of the Champions League, the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey and level on points with Barcelona at the top of La Liga.
But Ancelotti admitted his side’s “absurd schedule” could not be “sustained”.
“Considering the absurd schedule we’re experiencing and all the teams are going through, we’re doing very well,” he added.
“All the teams that are fighting and struggling at the moment are doing very well. It’s a schedule that can’t be sustained.
“We have played 17 games in 52 days and in my time, we played 30 league games in a season. We would be in the second half of the season in my day.
“Incredible. I’m getting tired and I think you’re getting tired too from what I hear and read. We all need some rest.”
