Nihal Mahamood, Sourik Mitra and Kevin Davis of Rajgiri Public School have emerged as the winners of the fifth edition of Encuesta 2019, an inter-school quiz competition for students of grades VI to VIII held at DPS-Modern Indian School (DPS-MIS) recently.
Teams of MES Indian School and Birla Public School came second and third respectively in the competition, which saw the participation from 11 Indian schools in Qatar.
In her welcome address, DPS-MIS Principal Asna Nafees highlighted the importance of such events, which seek to develop scientific temper, foster logical thinking and build team spirit.
She said the event would also go a long way in equipping students with 21st century skills and, most importantly, boost the spirit of healthy competition and fraternity among the CBSE schools in Qatar.
Chief Guest and DPS-MIS President Hassan Chougule stressed on the need to host inter-school competitions to widen the horizons and contribute to the well-rounded development of students.
Encuesta-2019 witnessed a harmonious competition among the dauntless quizzers for the coveted trophy. After a preliminary written test round, five teams, Birla Public School, Rajgiri Public School, MES Indian School, Noble International School and DPS-MIS, comprising three students each, qualified for the final round.
