The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI), in collaboration with Doha Marketing Services Co., Qatar’s Honda dealership, has announced the recall of Honda GL1800 Goldwing models (2018–2021) due to a potential issue where the engine drive gear bolt may break, which could cause the engine to shut down while driving.

Additionally, the MoCI, in cooperation with Nasser Bin Khaled and Sons Automobiles, Qatar’s Mercedes dealership, has issued a recall for Mercedes E-Class, S-Class, and MAYBACH models (2017–2018). The recall is due to a control unit software issue in the drive-train, which does not align with the current series production configuration.

The MoCI said the recall campaign comes within the framework of its efforts to protect consumers and ensure that car dealers follow up on vehicle defects and repairs.(TNN)
