DPS-Modern School recently organised award ceremony to honour the meritorious students of Grades X & XII (2018-19) whose persistent quest for success, dedication sincerity and perseverance enabled them to achieve excellence.
Altogether 300 students from Grade X & XII (2018-2019) were awarded with trophies, blue blazers, blue ties, gold & silver medals and merit certificates as a hallmark of true academic excellence, 100 percent attendance and all round performance. The occasion was graced by Hemant Kumar Dwivedi, first secretary (Information &Education), Embassy of India as the chief guest; President DPS-MIS Hassan Chougule, Vice-President Yasir Nainar, distinguished members of DPS-MIS executive committee and other eminent guests.
In her address, Principal Asna Nafees said the institution has always sought quality education and it is reflected in every performance of the students.
She congratulated the star performers of Grade X and XII on their spectacular results and encouraged them to be role models both in action and behaviour. She also urged the parents to understand the pressure level of their wards, spend time with them and reinforce the values of gratitude, tolerance and compassion to help them grow into the responsible citizens of tomorrow.
Speaking on the occasion, Dwivedi extolled the young achievers for their ‘enthusiasm to learn’ and teachers for their ‘passion to teach’ which have led to this remarkable feat.
Chougule commended the students for their glorious achievement and advised them to remain tenacious, committed and resolute in their future endeavours. Stressing on the school’s social media policy, he cautioned the students against the misuse of social media platforms.
