Doha on Monday saw the opening of the Benjarong Doha Restaurant at Dusit Doha Hotel, the new luxury oasis in the city’s vibrant West Bay area, where guests enjoyed an exquisite culinary journey through the exotic tastes of Thailand.
The event was graced by Ambassador of Thailand to Qatar HE Nathapol Khantahiran, along with other dignitaries, who were all warmly welcomed to the hotel by Gerhard Stutz, cluster general manager, Dusit Doha Hotel and Dusit Hotel & Suites.
Reflecting Dusit International’s unique brand of Thai-inspired hospitality, Benjarong Thai Restaurant blends modern and traditional design elements to provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere in which to enjoy authentic renditions of Thailand’s most famous dishes, as well as contemporary creations designed to elevate traditional Thai recipes. Sights, sounds and aromas combine to create a feast for all the senses.
Carefully crafted using the finest ingredients available, Benjarong’s signature dishes include Khong Wang Ruam Benjarong (Benjarong Mixed Appetizer), Mussaman Ka Kae by Poem of King Rama II (whole lamb shank Mussaman curry), Phad Thai Goong Benjarong (stir-fried Chantaburi rice noodle with prawns) and Khao Niew Moon Mamuang (sticky rice with mango).
Providing an ambience of luxury for a memorable fine dining experience, the restaurant’s design focuses on traditional Thai artistry and ornamentation, with impressive wall installations depicting ‘Nang Talung,’ a traditional Thai dance.
These elements blend harmoniously with the neutral tones of the furniture and décor, such as marble tables and wooden candlelit wall displays.
Guests can choose to dine inside or outside – soaking up stunning views of West Bay while enjoying exquisite dishes in the utmost of comfort.
Stutz said, “We are excited to bring our Thai specialty restaurant, Benjarong, for the people of Qatar. This is a place where guests can enjoy unparalleled Thai service and a menu that showcases the best of Royal Thai cuisine, including unique regional dishes. “Our chefs take the utmost care to ensure that classic, centuries-old recipes are prepared and presented to perfection. We are confident that Benjarong Doha will be the preferred restaurant when it comes to authentic Thai cuisine in Doha.”
