Secretary-General of the United Nations HE Antonio Guterres has extended his thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani for his mediation efforts between the Republic of Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
In a statement, Guterres said that HH the Amir’s hosting of a trilateral meeting in Doha with President of the Republic of Rwanda HE Paul Kagame and President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo HE Felix Tshisekedi contributed to fostering trust between the two countries and led to a mutual commitment to ensuring a secure and stable future in the region.
