QNADohaQatar Charity has provided immediate emergency aid to Afghan refugees and flood-affected individuals in Pakistan’s Balochistan province. The effort was carried out in collaboration with Pakistani Regional Disaster Management Authority benefiting some 9.000 Afghan refugees and the host community.The relief supplies, which include food and non-food items, are part of Qatar Charity’s efforts to alleviate the suffering of flood victims and meet their basic requirements in light of their terrible living situations.Qatar Charity sent 75 tents and supplies to impacted families in the Nushki district of Balochistan, and around 525 people received shelter aid.Food baskets were also provided to 1,275 Afghan refugee families and host communities in the Baluchistan towns of Nushki and Qila Saifullah, which have seen a major influx of Afghan refugees due to their proximity to the Pakistani-Afghan border. The baskets contained basic goods that benefitted around 9,000 Afghan refugees.Qatar Charity teams in Pakistan were able to offer help to flood victims in remote and difficult-to-reach locations and villages.Khurram Khalid Baloch, Deputy Commissioner of Nushki District, stated that they asked Qatar Charity to provide relief assistance in the village, which was severely damaged by the floods, emphasizing that Qatar Charity distributed relief aid in coordination with government agencies in the region, which was in desperate need of food and shelter assistance.
