Tribune News NetworkDohaExpatriate agricultural group ‘Green Qatar’, in association with the Center for Indian Community’(CIC) Rayyan zone, hosted an agricultural exhibition on CIC Rayyan zonal premises in Ain Khalid recently. The exhibition aimed to educate and promote the organic agriculture cultivation habit among the expatriate community in Qatar.People from different walks of life enjoyed the exhibition, which was titled ‘Agri Fair 2022’. The expo features different kinds of stalls and agricultural expert volunteers presenting their experience to the public. The stalls managed under the leadership of Ilaihi Sabeela, Hamama Shahid, Sajna Najeem and Nisha Muslih.The exhibition explained the different stages of cultivation from how to prepare initial soil to harvesting with detailed charts and direct explanation. Volunteers answered the enquiries from the public.Different stalls were also arranged for cow manure, potting soil, net, plants, many types of Indian vegetable seeds and different kinds of plants distributed free.Official inaugural session was chaired by the event General Convenor Sajna Karuvattil, while agricultural expert Ankita Rai Chouksey and Social Worker P.K. Sauda jointly inaugurated the function. The programme started with prayer by Mehdiya Mansoor. On behalf of Green Qatar, Sauda presented memento to Ankita Rai. CIC Vice-President Subul Abdul Aziz delivered felicitation speech, Convener Shafna Wahad welcomed the gathering, while group administration officer Shejeena Jaleel proposed vote of thanks.The programme committee conveners Abdul Jaleel M.M, Siddique Vengara, Haris K, Shabana Shafi, Hafsath Monnakkal, Sherin Shebeer, Sainaba Jaleel, Kamarunneesa, Suneera Salam, Thahir T.K, Mohammed Rafeeq, with support of CIC Rayyan zonal executive and volunteers, managed the event.
