The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI), in cooperation with National Car Company, Qatar’s Mazda dealership, has announced the recall of Mazda 3 and CX-3 models (2013–2020) due to a defect in the rear-view camera wiring harness. This issue may cause intermittent images or blurred and distorted vision.
The MoCI, in cooperation with DOMASCO – Doha Marketing Services Company, Qatar’s Honda dealership, has also recalled Honda CRF1100, 2024–2025 models, due to a malfunction in the Wheelie Control system. The issue stems from an incorrect setting value in the wheelie ECM control programme, causing the system to function improperly and not as described in the owner’s manual.
Besides, the ministry, in cooperation with Al-Attiya Motors and Trading Company, Qatar’s Kia dealership, has announced the recall of Kia Telluride 3.8L (2019–2020 models) due to a potential issue with the headlamp projection unit. Over time, the shield gear mechanism in the headlamp assembly can become damaged because of heat generated by the halogen bulb, which may cause the high beam(s) to become inoperable.
The ministry said the recall campaign comes within the framework of its ongoing efforts to protect consumers and ensure that car dealers follow up on vehicle defects and repairs.
The ministry said it would coordinate with the dealer to follow up on the maintenance and repair works and communicate with customers to ensure that the necessary repairs are carried out.
The ministry has urged all customers to report any violations to its Consumer Protection and Anti-Commercial Fraud Department, which processes complaints, inquiries and suggestions through the following channels:Call Center: 16001;Email: info@moci.gov.qa;social media channels: @mociqatar; or mobile application: MOCIQatar.
