Tribune News NetworkDohaThe Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) has announced plans to open a new resort on Katara Hills, composed of 15 luxury villas occupying a plush green beach-front setting.Katara signed an agreement with Estithmar Holding on Sunday to launch the project that will be known as the Katara Hills LXR Hotels and Resorts.The agreement was signed by Katara General Manager Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti and Estithmar Holding Group CEO Henrik Halager Christiansen, in the presence of Estithmar Holding Vice-Chairman Ramez Al Khayyat.Each of the 15 luxury villas will have a private swimming pool and exquisite interior décor designed to to provide a quiet and enjoyable stay amid the vast green areas within the Katara Hills. The project will also offer other luxurious elements such as a spa, a luxury restaurant and skilled staff to serve the guests.Katara’s Sulaiti said the project was integrated with Katara’s other sustainable cultural and tourism projects. "It is considered one of the advanced tourism projects that keeps pace with the massive achievements witnessed in the country and is in line the tireless efforts made to host the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.Estithmar Holding’s Christiansen pointed out that the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Qatar would contribute to building a lasting legacy. According to him, the resort project is distinguished by its design and blends the beautiful landscapes of Katara and modern architecture.
