MadridcTypeface:> Barcelona manager Hansi Flick is remaining focused on getting the best from his team despite the club facing an appeal over the eligibility of Inigo Martinez in their win over by Osasuna. Flick’s side strengthened their position at the top of LaLiga with a 3-0 win over Osasuna on Thursday, in a fixture which had been rearranged following the death of Barca club doctor Carles Minarro Garcia. But Osasuna launched an appeal to the Royal Spanish Football Federation, claiming defender Martinez should not have been able to play as he did not join up with Spain over the international break because of a knee injury. FIFA rules give a five-day window for any injured international player before they can return to club duty. While the authorities consider the matter, Flick will just get on with preparations for Sunday’s clash with Catalan neighbours Girona. “It is not in my hands. We will have to wait and see, and if anything changes (sporting director) Deco or whoever will let us know. I don’t know anything else,” Flick said at a press conference on Saturday. (PA Media/dpa)
