THE existing Lekhwiya Roundabout on Sabah Al Ahmad Corridor will be shifted approximately 700m north to facilitate the construction of the key project, the Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ has announced.
The traffic diversion designed in coordination with the General Directorate of Trafficwill be implemented on Sunday (August 11) and will remain in place for a period of four months.
During the period, traffic movement to and from Luaib Area via Rashida Street will be shifted to the new roundabout.
The Public Works Authority will install road signs advising motorists of the traffic shift and requests all road users to abide by the 50kph speed limit and follow the newly designed road signs to ensure their safety.
