London: Hugo Duro scored a stoppage-time header to give Valencia a first win at the Bernabeu in 17 years and further dent Real Madrid’s La Liga title hopes. Vinicius Junior had an early penalty saved before Mouctar Diakhaby’s towering header from a corner put Los Che into a 15th-minute lead. The visiting captain then saw an own goal before the break ruled out for offside in the build-up, but Real Madrid were level soon after the restart when Vinicius converted a corner at the back post. Real Madrid - who face Arsenal in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final next week - pressed for another goal, but Valencia keeper Giorgi Mamardashvili made a couple of fine reaction saves. Just when it seemed both sides could have to settle for point, Valencia snatched a winner in the fifth minute of stoppage time when Rafa Mir broke down the right and crossed for Duro to nod in. Real Madrid had earlier been awarded penalty in the 11th minute after Kylian Mbappe was pulled back by Cesar Tarrega when latching onto a long ball, but Vinicius saw his spot-kick saved by Mamardashvili.
