KievcTypeface:> Ferries operated by the Ukrainian state railway company have called at a Georgian port for the first time since Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine began in 2022.
“Two trips were made from the port of Chornomorsk to the port of Batumi on March 18 and 26,” said Timofei Murakhovsky, head of logistics at Ukrainian State Railways, according to a report by the Interfax-Ukraine news agency. A third trip is planned for next week. The first two trips were made in complete secrecy. Ferry services to Georgia were suspended after the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. (DPA)
