THE new F-Ring Road bridge has brought huge relief to motorists taking the Mesaimeer Road as it provides seamless travel sans traffic signals.
The travel time via Mesaimeer to Hamad International Airport (HIA) has come down for people residing in Abu Hamour, Al Maamoura and Al Aziziya as well as areas close to Salwa Road, Muaither and Aspire Zone.
The bridge, which connects the new F-Ring Road through Salwa Road to Mesaimeer, and was opened to the public recently.
Motorists say it has has not only reduced the volume of traffic in many important roads leading to central Doha, but has also helped them avoid traffic jams while coming from Al Wakra, Mesaieed Industrial City and to HIA from Salwa Road, Abu Hamour and Al Maamoura.
A South Asian expatriate driver said,"The link between F-Ring Road and Salwa Road is very crucial in Doha's road network. It will become a key corridor for passengers who travel from Doha's north-west to the city's southern parts, and the airport. Driving through this new road has been a good experience."
The new bridge, along with the F-Ring Road, has provided a 14km free-flow highway without any traffic signals and has enhanced the ease of movement, and provided easy access to and from the vital north-west region of Doha.
Moreover, the business community and workers staying near Qatar's Central Fish and Vegetable Market have largely benefited from this bridge.
