BerlincTypeface:> Amnesty International attacked US President Donald Trump in its annual report released on Tuesday, saying “a multiplicity of assaults” have been “some of the hallmarks” of Trump’s first 100 days in office, which it called a “reign.”
The State of the World’s Human Rights report said Trump’s actions to undo gains in ending global poverty, combatting racism and other human rights priorities did not start with his second administration, though the US president is “accelerating” efforts to reverse human rights gains.
With Trump’s re-election, there is a risk of “the end of the rules and institutions created after the Second World War to secure peace, freedom and dignity for all people worldwide,” said Julia Duchrow, secretary general of Amnesty Germany, during a presentation of the annual report of the human rights organization.
