SECRETARY-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) HE Dr Ahmed bin Hassan al Hammadi on Monday launched the diplomatic portal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (dp.mofa.gov.qa).
The sections of the portal include information on diplomatic missions accredited to the State of Qatar, forms, the diplomatic guide, circulars of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and news.
Information on diplomatic missions includes GCC, Arab, African, American, European, Asian and Pacific countries, as well as precedence for heads of mission, national days of states and events.
The forms include customs exemption, diplomatic card, vehicles diplomatic plate, events and ceremonies, visas and leave notification.
The Diplomatic Guide also contains information on members of diplomatic missions and international organisations, procedures of accrediting the heads of diplomatic missions, arrival of the heads of diplomatic missions and the presentation of their credentials, departure and end of tenure of the head of the diplomatic mission, the procedures of accrediting the diplomatic attaches (military, medical, cultural, commercial etc), the staff of the diplomatic mission and their family members and entry visas to Qatar.
Furthermore, it contains details about diplomatic immunities, which include exemption from customs duties, vehicle procedures and controls and diplomatic pouch.
The Diplomatic Guide includes information on missions’ headquarters and ambassadors’ residences, procedures and controls for the use of Hamad International Airport facilities, traffic procedures, security and communications procedures regarding protection of buildings and persons, political events and official ceremony procedures for diplomatic missions.
The Diplomatic Portal includes sections for the circulars of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, another for news of the reception and farewell of ambassadors, news of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and diplomatic missions.
