The students of Noble International School (NIS) took part in a function that was held in honour of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, to mark the World Students Day. In 2010, the United Nations had declared October 15 as World Students Day, according to Wikipedia.
Marking Dr Kalam’s 88th birth anniversary on Tuesday, the NIS organised a unique event. The students gathered for an assembly where they listened to famous quotes about Dr Kalam, and a mesmerising enactment of his final speech.
The students were enthralled by the captivating backgrounds, stunning exhibits, thought-provoking tableau, quiz competition, uplifting speeches and skillful mimes.
The event brought out the best of the students skills as they showcased the greatness of the man who helped inspired many to think big.
"It’s important to have role models like APJ Abdul Kalam, to stay focus-driven throughout life,” said the school’s Principal Shibu Abdul Rasheed in his presidential address.
Vice Principals Jayamon Joy and Robin K Jose talked about the great achievements of Dr Kalam.
The school’s teachers also dwelt on the contributions of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam.
