Pakistan International School–Qatar recently held the investiture ceremony for its Student Council for the year 2019-2020.
Principal of the school Nargis Raza Otho administered the oath of honour and dedication to the members of the council.
Following this, the principal was requested to pin the badges to the newly elected Head Boy and Head Girl. The other members of the council were sworn in by the newly elected heads of the Student Council.
The heads of the Student Council, in their speeches, acknowledged the solemnity of their roles, saying power comes with responsibility.
The principal described the school elections as a platform for the young parliamentarians to learn how to maintain discipline, interact with their peers and aid their fellow students. She also emphasised the importance of right to vote, advising the students to make a fair use of their vote to elect the efficient candidates and show their commitment to the progress of the school.
