QNADohaThe Police College became the first Arab college to join the Association of Police Training Institutions in Asia (APTA), which is seen as a significant milestone in its pursuit of partnerships with regional and international police groups.The Police College said in a statement that APTA unanimously approved the college’s membership during the association’s sixth virtual meeting today in the Korean capital Seoul, with the participation of the college’s delegation led by Police College Director-General Brig. Gen. Abdulrahman Majid Al Sulaiti.Brig. Gen. Al Sulaiti began his remarks by thanking the APTA members and expressing his gratitude for their faith in approving the College of Police to work together to assist police in Asian countries and give what is helpful.He invited APTA members to the fifth batch’s graduation ceremony at the Police College in February 2023.The Police College’s accession happened as a consequence of coordination between the College and the APTA Secretariat in early August 2022, when the subject of Accession was listed on the agenda of the association’s sixth conference.Prior to the Association voting process, the College delivered a detailed presentation of its academic and training programs since its inception in 2013.APTA has 28 members from Asian police colleges and academies, and it helps to enhance security work on the continent in all academic scientific areas and advanced police training.
