The Texas A&M University at Qatar (Tamuq) felicitated more than 103 students for their academic excellence in the Fall 2018 and Spring 2019 semesters. Some of these students found places in the Dean’s List, while the others were name ‘Distinguished Students’.
To earn the ‘Distinguished Student’ designation, a student must complete a semester schedule of at least 15 graded hours with grades higher than C and a term GPA of 3.5. In order to be included in the ‘Dean’s List’, the same requirements apply with the term GPA being 3.75 or higher.
Dr César Octavio Malavé, dean of Tamuq, said, "Engineering is a challenging course and we have so many outstanding students who have earned academic distinction in the past two semesters. We are so proud of our students and all their accomplishments. We look forward to celebrating many more achievements with them as they progress through their careers to become engineering leaders in Qatar.”
