The Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) will participate in the Qatar IT Conference and Exhibition 2019 (QITCOM 2019), organised by the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MoTC) at Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) from October 29 to November 1 under the theme ‘Safe and Smart Cities’.
The CRA booth number is H8A30 and is near to gate number 8. Visitors to the booth will have a chance to know more about CRA through interactive technological activities like, hologram, interactive wall and touch screens. They will also learn about radio equipment licensing services, CRA’s telecom complaint process and its role in regulating the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) sector. In addition, they will be able to register Qatari Internet domain names and communicate directly with the CRA’s consumer protection team to lodge a telecom complaint.
"QITCOM is the biggest Information and Communication Technology event in Qatar. It is a great platform for the CRA to communicate with ICT stakeholders and industry experts from around the world, to exchange views and experiences, in addition to meeting with telecom consumers to listen directly to their opinion about ICT services in Qatar,” said Noof Ahmed al Naama, Public Relations and Communications Specialist at the CRA.
During the four-day event, a panel discussion and workshops will be conducted in the CRA booth on different topics, including, the rights and responsibilities of telecom consumers, smart cities, 5G Technology, Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6), Cloud Computing and Blockchain.
Moreover, on the sidelines of QITCOM 2019, the CRA’s Telecom Complaints Management System will also be launched.
