College of the North Atlantic-Qatar (CNA-Q) has received accreditation for eight certificate and award-level qualifications and achieved Silver Learning Partner status from the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) in the past year. The accreditations were given to the Occupational Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Programme. Representatives from NEBOSH were on hand at the College this week to recognize the accomplishment.
“These accreditations assist students in gaining the skills necessary to fulfill their career aspirations’” said Acting Health Sciences Dean Nelson Rodrigues. “The recognition of the outstanding Health Sciences programmes we have at CNA-Q is an important validation of the in-demand programs we offer at the College and of the international status of these credentials.”
CNA-Q has been accredited with Health and Safety at Work Qualification, Environmental Awareness at Work Qualification, Health, Safety and Environment in the Process Industries Qualification, HSE Introduction to Incident Investigation, as well as International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, Certificate in the Management of Health and Well-Being at Work, Certificate in Environmental Management, and International Certificate in Fire and Safety and Risk Management.
Damian Hampson, NEBOSH Business Development Executive, presented the certificate. He said: “Great learning experiences make great professionals. It’s important to us that accredited Learning Partners, like the College of North Atlantic-Qatar, give our learners the skills they need to be able to know and do effective health and safety when they enter the workplace.
“Congratulations to the College on being awarded Silver Learning Partner status and on achieving accreditation for its eighth NEBOSH qualification. Together we are making the world a safer place.”
