Five-time winners and defending champion Qatar will face Bahrain in their opening match of the GCC basketball in Kuwait on Sunday. Five teams area in the fray with hosts Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates being other participants. The event began on Saturday with a match between UAE and Bahrain and it was followed by a clash featuring hosts Kuwait against Saudi Arabia. The final is scheduled on December 1.
