QATAR’S Ministry of Municipality and Environment has won Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah Informatics Award for Information Systems Department’s Aoun Application. The application was among the best technical projects in the award’s 19th edition.
The Minister of Municipality and Environment HE Eng Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki al Subaie received the award at the honouring ceremony held under the patronage and in the presence of the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah al Ahmad al Jaber al Sabah.
The ministry’s winning of the award comes in recognition of its efforts to develop the application on smart phones which was inaugurated under the patronage and in presence of Prime Minister and Interior Minister of Qatar HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al Thani on September 23, 2018.
The Ministry of Municipality and Environment is among the pioneering government agencies that started providing services to the public via smart phones and mobile several years ago.
