The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani and President of Rwanda Paul Kagame witnessed the signing of three agreements between the governments of the two countries, on the sidelines of Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani International Anti-Corruption Excellence Award ceremony held at Kigali Convention Centre on Monday.
HH the Amir and the Rwandan president witnessed the signing of an acquisition agreement of 60 percent of Bugesera Airport shares, a shareholders’ agreement and a guarantee agreement between Qatar Airways and the Rwandan air transport company.
The signing ceremonies were attended by Their Excellencies members of the official delegation accompanying HH the Amir and a number of Rwandan ministers and high ranking officials.
HH the Amir later left the Rwandan capital, Kigali on Monday evening.
HH the Amir was seen off at Kigali International Airport by President of Rwanda Paul Kagame, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Rwanda Vincent Biruta, Mayor of Kigali Pudence Rubingisa and Ambassador of Qatar to Rwanda HE Abdullah Mohammed al Sayed.
