Tribune News NetworkDohaThe US Embassy in Doha gifted a collection of 70 books to Qatar University (QU) Library on August 29. This came as part of the ongoing collaboration and partnership between the library and the embassy.The Public Diplomacy Officer Jay Men was welcomed by Asma Al Buainain, Library director.During the ceremony that was held at QU Library, the US Diplomacy Officer said that the US Department of State has gifted 70 book titles as part of a property grant. It was noted that the programme was designed to foster embrace and enhance people to people connections and to share knowledge and resources with long term relationships between our two great countries. The Library director thanked the US embassy for their books that would play an important part in enriching the Law and Legal studies Collection at the library. This would support the high quality research and scientific needs of students and faculty members, she said.After the speeches, the representatives of both the US Embassy and QU visited and toured the display of books and reference titles.
