Tribune News NetworkDohaThe Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), which conducts annual assessments for students of Indian schools, has declared results after re-evaluation. It has resulted in new Science stream toppers for Birla Public School (BPS) for grades X and XII. A press statement from BPS said that after the final updated results were collated by CBSE, the aggregate percentage of grade XII topper for the Science stream, Aditya Gupta, went up from 98 percent to 98.8 percent and the marks of Farah Nazeer of grade X increased from 98.6 percent to 99.2 percent. “It gives us great pride to announce that the following students of grade XII made the Birla Public School proud by getting the first position in all the three streams in Qatar,” said Harish Sanduja, academic director-principal of BPS.The school toppers are: Aditya Gupta (98.8 percent, 1st Position in Science Stream), Mohamed Sahal (97.4 percent, 1st Position in Commerce Stream), and Jui Baliga and Shyamanti Bhowmik (97.2 percent, 1st Position in Humanities).Also, in grade X, the students made school proud by achieving the top positions in Qatar, including Farah Nazeer (99.2%), Nihal Ashik (99%) and Mahika Rao (98.8%). Chairman of the Board of Directors Gope Shahani said the constant support of parents and guidance by teachers were the key to the excellent results. Vice Chairperson Maria Pakalomattom said the students, parents and teachers are the three pillars that provide a firm base to the students for their right future. Directors Dr Mohan Thomas, C V Rappai and Lukose Chacko along with the Academic Director-Principal Harish Sanduja and Vice Principal Scholastic Edna Fernandez congratulated the toppers. “The faculty at BPS are dedicated to serving the best in education for the students, so that they are able to achieve their dreams and have a bright future,” said Harish Sanduja.
