Tribune News NetworkDohaNikhil Manoj Kumar, a class XII student at MES Indian School, qualified to represent Kerala state in the National Youth Athletic Meet by winning a silver medal in the hammer throw event with his personal best record in the Kerala State Youth Athletic Meet held at Calicut University’s synthetic stadium on August 29.He will compete for Kerala in the National Youth Athletic Meet, which will be held in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, from September 17 to 19, 2022. Kumar is the only athlete who has qualified for both South India and All India Hammer Throw competitions.Steeson K Mathew, Physical Education Department Teacher, accompanied him to the Kerala State Youth Athletic Meet. The school management and principal have congratulated the winner on his outstanding performance at the state-level event and wished him all success and glory at the national-level competition.
