Integral University Alumni Association of Qatar (IUAA) was formally inaugurated in Doha recently.
Prof Syed Waseem Akhtar, founder and chancellor of Integral University, was the chief guest on the occasion while Dr Syed Nadeem Akhtar, director Planning and Research, and Syed Fauzan Akhtar were the guests of honour.
Salman Khan (IUAA-India), Aqeel Ahmad, Najmal Hassan, Shahid Yar Khan, Ziauddin Ahmad, Syed Najeeb Ashraf, Mohd Farhan Mazhar and Imtiaz Javed attended the event as special guests.
More than 100 people including children attended the function.
Farzan Ansari and Mohd Saquib welcomed the attendees, while Marwan opened the programme with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an.
In his welcome speech, Ahmad Faraz, president of the association, presented the mission and vision of the association.
Dr Salman Khan lauded the initiative taken by alumni in Qatar.
Aqeel Ahmed, Najmul Hassan Khan and Ziauddin Ahmad presented mementos to the guests.
One of the main highlights of the programme was Prof Syed Waseem Akhtar’s talk on building a better bonding between all alumni and students of the Integral University. He talked about the importance of science and appreciated the works of IUAA.
He emphasised the need to build bonds between IU and Qatar.
Akhtar made a brief presentation about the university.
Dr Syed Nadeem Akhtar emphasised the importance of unity and integrity among the members, urging them to be role models in their community and work towards making the world a better place to live.
Majid Ali, vice-president of the association, gave vote of thanks.
