His Excellency Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad al Thani, the President of the Qatar Olympic Committee, crowned the winners of the HH the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani Sword Camel Racing Festival , which concluded the Al Shahania Racetrack with a massive participation from GCC countries.
Sheikh Joaan honoured the winners in the four main events. Shama, owned by HE Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Hamad bin Khalid al Thani, won the title of the Golden Sword, while Al Rasiyah, owned by Al Shahania Camels. was awarded the golden shalfa. HE Sheikh Saud bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz bin Khalid al Thani, the owner of Baroud, and Al Shahania Camels, the owner of Maarik, received the golden daggers.
Abdullah bin Saeed al Eidah, the owner of Al Sailiya Camels, won the silver sword. The silver shalfa went to Muhammad Ali bin Jaznah, the owner of Omaniyat, while the silver daggers were presented to Ali bin Hamad bin Maqareh, the owner of Habash, and Salem Amer al Madhoshi, the owner of Monsef.
