TRIBUNE NEWS NETWORKDOHAQatar Railways Company (Qatar Rail) has announced that the Qatar Rail Open padel tournament will be held in collaboration with the Pádel In Company. The tournament is scheduled to take place from September 11 to 17.The tournament’s sponsorship by Qatar Rail was announced at a press conference held at the Padel In Aspire club, which was attended by several senior officials from Qatar Rail and Padel In Companies.The tournament will take place at the clubs Padel In Aspire and Padel In City Center. These competitions are expected to attract around 700 men, women, and juniors.Abdulla Ali Al-Mawlawi, Communication & Public Relations Director at Qatar Rail said: “We are pleased to be a part of this sports event alongside our partner Padel In, and we are proud to sponsor the Qatar Rail Open Padel tournament, where we expect strong competitions”.He added: “Through our partnership with Padel In, we aim to encourage people to participate in Padel activities, which has gained a lot of popularity in Qatar, in addition to discover new talent-generations of young Qataris, as well as helping to raise the name of Qatar in the field of organising international sports events”. In response, Khalid Saadon Al-Kuwari, Co-founder of Padel In company, said: “I would like to thank Qatar Rail for sponsoring the Qatar Rail Open Padel tournament and supporting the Padel sport in Qatar. Padel as a sport has been growing steadily and rapidly in Qatar, which has contributed to the success of the country’s hosting of two versions of the Padel World Championship, along with other international tournaments”.Al-Kuwari added: “In line with our existing partnership with Qatar Rail, we look forward to organising an exceptional Padel tournament. We are committed to working closely with our partners in Qatar Rail to present this tournament in the best way.’’The Qatar Rail Open padel tournament will be the Padel In Tour’s second tournament in the 2022/2023 season. From August 18, 2022 to June 24, 2023, 27 tournaments will be held in Qatar, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia, with over 30 thousand players taking part.The Padel In Tour is the Middle East’s largest Padel competition. The matches will be broadcast live on YouTube via their “live streaming feature,” providing an excellent opportunity for Padel fans to enjoy these competitions.
