Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Akbar al Baker has called on the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to encourage manufacturers to invest in sustainable energy solutions. “The IATA should take a lead on the international level and encourage manufacturers to invest in sustainable energy solutions,” Baker said during the CAPA Summit in Doha on Thursday.
The QA chief also called for encouraging youngsters to get interested in aviation sector. “We must encourage the young generation to get interested in aviation,” he said.
Regarding women in the airline, he said, “I’m not disappointed with the number of women we have in the airline but I would like to see more in senior management positions.” (TNN)
