Qatar’s leading telecommunications company Ooredoo celebrated the National Sport Day (NSD) on Tuesday with a host of activities and promotions.
The telecomms major hosted a “fun fitness day” at the MIA Park with a wide range of activities, including ball games, team sports, individual activities and fun group exercise sessions.
To coincide with the sports day, also announced a range of special promotions designed to offer customers better value for money with their Ooredoo products and services.
Ooredoo gave away smartwatches and vouchers for “Sports Corner” through a National Sport Day quiz, its “Walk To Win” offer encouraged customers to get active by rewarding 2020MB of data and a voucher for Sports Corner for those who have completed 10,000 steps on the sports day.
Customers were also given 500 Nojoom points free simply for scanning the special 2020 National Sport Day QR code hidden in the park.
The quiz received more than 140,000 entries, while almost 2,000 customers scanned the special QR code and a total of almost 54 million steps were taken by those attempting the “Walk To Win” challenge.
Ooredoo Chairman Sheikh Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Saud al Thani, said, “We were delighted to see such an incredible turnout at MIA Park on Tuesday, and to see so many citizens and residents of all ages enjoying the activities on offer.
