The Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) has announced the appointment of Amr al Hamad as CEO of the federation. He succeeds Sultan al Muraikhi who contributed to the development of motor sport and motorcycles in Qatar over the past years.
The Federation, in a statement, said that Amr al Hamad, who held many positions in the federation, including Events Director, was officially assumed as the Executive Director of the Federation after the efforts he had made during the last period at all levels.
The statement added that the federation thanked Sultan al Muraikhi, the former CEO of the federation for what he provided for motorsport in the past years in which he assumed responsibility. He contributed to developing the sport through supervision of many events organised by the federation in addition to his contribution to the success of many championships.
The Federation indicated that Al Hamad has a great experience as a former driver, in addition to holding many positions in Shell Qatar Company for 13 years, where he worked as an ambassador for internal road safety in the company, a technical consultant for Qatar University and the University of Texas, as well as several other important positions.
