All vehicles that are due for Istimarah (registration) renewal will be exempted from reporting to a FAHES centre for technical inspection, a senior traffic official has said.
Instead, motorists can get the inspection approval online through their smartphones, Lt. Abdel Mohsen al Ruwaili, a Media Officer of the Traffic Awareness Department, said.
To get the approval online, motorists have to download the Woqod app, navigate to the FAHES section, request for a “new examination”, fill in the data and complete the inspection process, he added.
“No need to go to a FAHES centre for the inspection,” the officer said.
Once the inspection is complete, motorists can renew their vehicle registration through Metrash 2 app. “All services can now be done without the need to visit traffic departments or government service centres,” he added.
