Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta says he is recovering well from Covid-19.
Arteta’s announcement on March 10 that he was suffering from the virus prompted the Premier League to suspend matches the following weekend.
Speaking to Spanish television station La Sexta, the 37-year-old said he was feeling better.
"It took me three or four days to start feeling better, with more energy, to leave the symptoms behind,” Arteta said.
"I am very well now. I feel that I have recovered.” Arsenal said their players would continue to train at home, having been in self-isolation since Arteta’s diagnosis.
"Our men’s first-team players were scheduled to return to training on Tuesday after completing 14-days isolation following Mikel Arteta’s positive diagnosis for the virus,” the club said on their website.
"As a result of the current situation, we are clear it would be inappropriate and irresponsible to ask players to come back at this time. Therefore our men’s first team, women and academy players are all remaining at home.”
