Sohni Dharti, a forum of expatriate Pakistanis in Al Khor, has announced the names of executive committee (Ex-Com) for the 2020-21 term.
An open opportunity was given to all Sohni Dharti members to come forward and join the Executive Committee to serve the Pakistani community living in Al Khor.
Based on the nominations received and interest, the outgoing president of Sohni Dharti, Shahid Mahmood Bhatti, announced the names of members of new Sohni Dharti Executive Committee.
The new committee includes Muhammad Saleem Baloch (Chairman), Ibrahim Feroz (President), Rao Inam-ul-Haq (Vice President), Azmat Ali (General Secretary), Umar Khayyam (Joint Secretary), Amjad Saleem (Cultural Secretary), Arif Saleem Gurmani (Sports Secretary), Imtiaz Ahmed (Finance Secretary), Abdullah Shaikh (Media Secretary), Shabbir Siddiqui (Future Leaders Programme Lead), Mrs Rao Arif and Mrs Masood (Ladies Coordinators).
The new committee will take charge on April 1, 2020.
“I am quite confident that the combination of experienced, young and energetic team will play a vital role in the success of Sohni Dharti-AKC forum and uphold the flag of our beloved country even higher,” said Sohni Dharti Chairman Saleem Baloch.
One of the main objectives of Sohni Dharti forum is to create a healthy and friendly environment among the Pakistani families, especially children, and to keep them united and connected to Pakistani culture and values during their stay in Qatar.
In this light, different types of
activities have been planned like Islamic educational events, cultural shows, sports tournaments, public speaking forums and leadership training sessions.
Sohni Dharti forum also shares the responsibility to stay connected with other organisations in the State of Qatar to play an active and positive role in the society and admire them with its presence, added Baloch.
