The opener of the three-race finals at the Qatar Online Racing Championship was postponed due to technical reasons. The drivers, behind the wheels of Lexus RCF16, were not able to start the pole position shootout at the Nurburgring Circuit in Germany after the practice session as the connectivity dropped and could not be restored despite the best of efforts. In the FP1, Sheikh Soud al Thani emerged the quickest among the 15 finalists with a lap of 1:48.476. Hamad al Sulaiti, with five wins under the belt during the qualifying stage, was holding the second place at 1:48.699. Rashid al Lebdah was third with 1:48.886, leading Mohammed Dbiessy by 00.002, while Ahmad Kholy rounded out the fastest five, recording his best at 1:49.120. Unbeaten Khalid al Kuwari was the seventh best at 1:49.536.
