The World Cup-Final-venue Lusail Stadium is about to host the Super Cup match between Saudi Professional League winner Al Hilal SFC and Egyptian Premier League champions Zamalek SC on Friday.

To make commuting easy and convenient for spectators, Mowasalat (Karwa) will run a "stadium express" service. It has deployed a fleet of more than 900 buses for the service that will help transfer local and visiting spectators to and from the stadium.

The stadium express bus service will commence four hours before the match and continue until three hours from the end of the game to help spectators reach home safely. There will also be a ‘Park and Ride’ service for spectators with an option to park their vehicles in the dedicated parking zones and catch a bus to the stadium.

A special bus service was also deployed for visiting spectators attending the match from neighbouring countries and travelling to Qatar on chartered flights. This special service has run daily from 7th September until 9th September every ten minutes from noon until nine in the evening from the Doha International Airport arrival terminal to the Al Doha Al Jadeed Metro Station, where fans could catch the metro to the Lusail stadium.

Fans at the Lusail Super Cup will also have the option to book Mowasalat (Karwa)’s brand new ‘Economy’ Service on the Karwa Taxi App, operated by partnering Fox Limousines.

A dedicated fleet of 350 taxis will also ply the roads of Qatar for the Lusail Super Cup.

Mowasalat (Karwa)’s CEO, Fahad Al Qahtani, said: ” This is a significant tournament for us. It will showcase our readiness to welcome guests to our country and experience a world-class public transport system.

Quality and safety play a vital role at Mowasalat, but we are also on a mission to achieve net-zero emissions by 2030, and our team is working persistently to deploy more and more electric vehicles on the road. This includes our newly acquired fleet of electric buses, hybrid taxis and electric limousines. The day of this crucial match at the Lusail Stadium is also observed globally as World Electric Vehicle Day, and I am delighted to share that part of the fleet is powered by electricity. We involve technical innovation at every stage to ensure we can adapt to the fast-evolving global transportation sector to connect Qatar safely and sustainably, with a green footprint.”
